Welcome to my first real blog…
Spring is here and I do love this time of year when the garden starts to come alive with all the amazing flowers. Hotel Los Sibileys is nestled in the mountains of The Costa Calida and is the perfect place for walking and discovering the most beautiful flowers you would not normally see on the coastline of this wonderful country. The other day whilst walking in the surrounding countryside I saw my first tortoise, yes that’s right, we are in the middle of a protected area for tortoises and it never ceases to amaze me when I come across them and I’ve even had them wondering into the garden on occasion….of course they only make short visits and soon they’re off on there merry way to who knows where…
Life is good in our Spanish Country Hotel
I consider myself very lucky to be able to live and work in such a beautiful hotel and many of the guests we have staying in our Spanish country hotel with only 5 guest bedrooms tell me time and time again how peaceful and relaxing the area is and the only noise they hear is the birds singing, how very true this is.
We do offer activities for the more adventurous and recently had a lovely couple stay, when they arrived they fell in love with the area and called it paradise, to their surprise they discovered they could hire Enduro bikes and were given a short tour, and lessons on techniques, they loved it so much they are soon to make their 3rd return visit.
Of course there are many things to make your visit special here at Hotel Los Sibileys, one being my husbands cuisine, French trained he cooked with fresh local produce and provides our guests delightful dishes which leave them feeling very happy indeed having experienced an unforgettable break from their busy lives.
In the coming months we will be able to enjoy the return of several spectacular birds varieties so watch this space for some amazing pictures of the colorful Bee Eaters and Rollers, also we have Golden Orioles, Woodpeckers and not to forget if your very lucky the Wild Boars that roam the hills, mainly emerging at night together with the abundance of rabbits…… until next time…
